Genealogy research

Мы начинаем публиковать краткие обзоры архивных фондов, которые могут быть полезны в генеалогических исследованиях. И начинаем мы как раз с тех фондов, которые многие недооценивают. А ведь некоторые из них гораздо более информативны, чем метрические книги церквей, костелов и синагог. Сегодня мы представляем обзор переписных листов первой Всероссийской переписи населения 1897 года.

In the coming months, we plan to work on the topics:
- Jewish shtetl Ilintsy Lipovetsky County Kiev Province. Will be view books synagogue Ilintsi for 1844-1882 years
- Jews county town Starokostiantyniv Volyn Province. To view the book of the synagogue Starokonstantinov for 1866-1907 years
- The inhabitants of the city of Odessa (all denominations) contained in the first general census of the population of the Russian Empire in 1897
- Residents of Bakhmut (now Artemivs’k) Ekaterinoslavskaya province. To view the registers books of the Annunciation Church of the city for the years 1862-1919
- Villagers Grishino Bakhmutsky County Ekaterinoslavskaya province. By viewing births Church of the Intercession of the village for the years 1878-1919

At the moment, we are actively working on the topic of “Genealogy of the Jews of Mariupol.” We have found the documents for the period from 1866 to 1921. In parallel with this topic are reviewed records synagogue Bakhmut (now Artemovsk) for the 1858-1916. If your ancestors are from these places, waiting for your orders.

The next IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy will take place next in July 15-18, 2012 inParis, France. If you are planning to attend, We suggest booking your flight and hotel as early as possible.
The conference is being hosted by the IAJGS and the Cercle de Généalogie Juive, in partnership with the Jewish genealogical societies of Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
